Dennis Kucinich and Rolling Stone Magazine....probably the lamest combination of bleeding heart libs the country has to offer. To my unfortunate surprise, the two have paired up and published an op ed about the 9/11 aftermath on this country. Now...Im no soothsayer (although I do have some crystal balls) but Im willing to bet these two bitter and forgotten figures are going to offer a negative take on our government.
Unfortunately, I was right. In the recent piece in Rolling Stone Kucinich basically riddles President Bush and his administration with insults for overreacting and "polarizing" our people.
Now I'm going to keep this short...er I mean...Im going to keep this Dennis Kucinich like in stature, heres three reasons why this op ed is a flaming piece of shit:
1. President Bush has not declared the Iraq War part of the mission to catch Osama Bin Laden. He went to Iraq for totally different reasons. All the people that seem to think we rushed into Iraq just to retaliate for 9/11 should consider that we didnt go to Iraq until 2003....AND that was for WMDs.
2. Kucinich claims we are in Iraq for oil. Thats funny. I swear we have oil at home that we could be drilling if we really wanted to get some cheap energy...so why would we go to Iraq just for oil? The answer is, we wouldnt. Iraq was a poor attempt at nation building but by no means was it for oil. If it was for oil, we could have done this whole thing a lot more smoothly. Also, last time I checked, the supply of oil we were currently recieving from Iraq was minimal compared to the supply we recieved from Saudi Arabia. So....your wrong Kucinich.
3. Kucinich suggests we prosecute the Bush Administration. Hmmm....I just dont see that happening anytime soon little guy. Clinton sent air strikes over Iraq in 98 and sent troops to Bosnia. I dont see anyone clamoring for him to be tried. What President Bush is doing is fully within his rights. He is the executive leader of the country and thus in charge of many military decisions. And please, Mr. Kucinich, dont forget that the soldiers in the army overwhelmingly support the President and by no means were forced into this situation. So...why dont you mind your own business.
Now Im going to cue up my Randy Newman song, "Short People" and move right along.
